UPDATE!!!!!
Here is how I ended up getting the seats in the car.
Cut old mounting brackets off the sliders.
Grind off the old studs. They are stamped in place... there arent any threads!!!! good luck. If anyone else has seen the hardware in these seats... you know what im talking about.
Took off my old seat brackets from my aftermarket seats that I had. $35-$50 for the pair.
Cut off the seat belt mounting points. (dont need this anymore)
Removed the new seat belts
Replaced them with my Crx ones. I actually had this gold bolt in my garage... BAM!
test fit the bracket in place. These seats slide much farther than stock CRX seats.
Tacked it in place.
Finished Welding the brackets to the new sliders. Make sure you protect the seats. I had my welding apron covering a lot of it. Then I used damp towels to cover the rest.
Cleaned up the welds with a wire brush. Then sprayed it with some flat black primer.
Here are some shots of the end result. (still got the passenger side to do. ) Ps. anyone else have this happen to their door panels? They didnt look like this last year.. Its like you can see the cleaner that the previous owner used.
2 days of work. the 2006 slider works great. I can even adjust the height...
The way that I had to install them makes them sit a little higher than stock. The stock CRX sliders have the mounts on the sides of the back rails. This allows them to sit extremely low. The brackets that I used make it sit about 1-1.5 inches higher. Not a huge amount... But, It is a tiny car.
