hey guys, I have a guy selling a pair of 2006 civic SI seats that im interested in. anyone know if they will fit onto my sliders? These are the style... I have a 91 Si.

I see people with 88-96 seats from all different models just thrown in. prelude... civic... accord...

The thing i noticed with these newer seats is their a lot taller and make you sit up higher. I've got sum 02 civic seats and i wish i had the stock ones. But they are pretty comfortable ijust dnt like how high up i sit in my car.

You don't swap the sliders. You have to remove the seat pan from the new seat and put your crx seat pan(sliders and all) under the new seat. Seat pan swap. Then the only height difference will be in the foam of the actual seat.
I have done this..... I put S2000 seats in my CRX and did the seat pan swap. They sit the same as stock CRX seats. And they look damn good!!!!

UPDATE!!!!!

Here is how I ended up getting the seats in the car.

Cut old mounting brackets off the sliders.

Grind off the old studs. They are stamped in place... there arent any threads!!!! good luck. If anyone else has seen the hardware in these seats... you know what im talking about.

Took off my old seat brackets from my aftermarket seats that I had. $35-$50 for the pair.

Cut off the seat belt mounting points. (dont need this anymore)

Removed the new seat belts

Replaced them with my Crx ones. I actually had this gold bolt in my garage... BAM!

test fit the bracket in place. These seats slide much farther than stock CRX seats.

Tacked it in place.

Finished Welding the brackets to the new sliders. Make sure you protect the seats. I had my welding apron covering a lot of it. Then I used damp towels to cover the rest.

Cleaned up the welds with a wire brush. Then sprayed it with some flat black primer.

Here are some shots of the end result. (still got the passenger side to do. ) Ps. anyone else have this happen to their door panels? They didnt look like this last year.. Its like you can see the cleaner that the previous owner used.

2 days of work. the 2006 slider works great. I can even adjust the height...
The way that I had to install them makes them sit a little higher than stock. The stock CRX sliders have the mounts on the sides of the back rails. This allows them to sit extremely low. The brackets that I used make it sit about 1-1.5 inches higher. Not a huge amount... But, It is a tiny car.

if you wanted to drop down to stock height. you could weld the sliders directly to the car. I wanted to make them so you could easily swap them in and out. You could also take the original mounting points and bolt a bracket onto the car. Then weld it to the new seats. You could even get the back of the seat lower than stock if you did this. If it ends up bothering me I will prolly end up doing it this way. I will take a headroom measurement tomorrow. 1991 vs 2006. For the people that really want to know exactly what to expect.

1-1.5 is a huge amount..... My head already hits the roof and is almost not happening with a helmet... I'm glad you can pull it off.
Im 5'10" and 200 pounds. I am big in the car as it is. The headroom doesnt bother me unless im getting in and out. The car is lowered about 1.5 inches

I like it! They look good in there :)b
I love the look. Its like a modern OEM honda. The color and shape work great. I would only be happier if it was easier to do... I LOVE the original red stick SI seats... but, they are old, worn, and they dont support like they did in 1991.

PS. i think these seats add about 40 pounds of weight.

Nothing oem about a recaro seat. I understand that it was an available option in a car. But, it wasn't made by honda. Definitly doesn't look stock. You understand...

And you would be the first person ever to call me small. Lol.
OEM seats were either designed or made by recur I can't remember the whole story.... Oh well.
