I may be blowing smoke out of "somewhere", but I remember buying a '92 (it may have been a '91 leftover) CRX Si-R with a 1.9 liter V-Tech from an actual Honda dealership in the US (first ex got the car, so I can't really verify). However, before buying, we test drove the CRX, the CRX Si and the CRX Si-R. Supposedly, "normal" Si's were 1.5 or 1.6 liter. I'm not sure if I owned an "albatross" or what? I want to say it claimed to be 140hp and I believe it. It was FAST. I also remember no oil-change places (including a different dealership) could locate an oil filter unless they were told to look up the 1.9 Acura Integra. Did I let a treasure slip through my fingers?

When did this supposedly happen?
Regardless, you're memory is hazy, and flat out wrong with the details since there is no 1.9L vtec motor from Honda, since US spec Si models had a 1.6 non vtec motor. Even if it were the "fast" Crx, those top of the line, Euro/Japanese models had a 1.6L vtec motor in them from the factory, and you wouldn't see one for sale at a US Honda dealership since they were not offered here in the Western Hemisphere.
The oil change thing makes sense since there is no 1.9L Honda motor, you're not going to find a filer for it.
