I hope, in the near future to be adding some power to my newly aquired stock 90 CRX. Can someone please list or send me the link to exactly what I will need for a 5 lug conversion and brake upgrade (disks all around - maybe even aftermarket disks and calipers)?

I'd like to make this car like a mini Type-R. Once converted to 5-lug then I would be looking for aftermarket brakes for an Intergra Type R right?

Thanks.

Is there a reason you want to convert to 5-lug? I really don't see a reason. first off I think the stock CRX brakes are enough, but if you DO need more, the DA/EX upgrade is plenty for such a light car.
Look at ITA cars, they run stock brakes (often drums in the rear even) under track conditions.

I might be off on my info, but by converting to 5 lug I think you are also adding rotational weight which will rob power...

quick question, if you are upgrading/changing many things to make a "mini type-r", why is your heart set on a honda wheel set? as stated above, there are many aftermarket wheels to choose from, skies the limit there. just curious.

Most normal dudes are up til 3am on the internet lookign at porn. I was on Honda sites. I am trying to balance weight, value and aethetics. I am an industrial designer so I tend to be picky with wheels.

I called Honda this morning to get a price on new '99 Si wheels. They list for only $181. I klnow they are only 15" but they are nice. What do fat 5s list for?

$181 each! that is insane. I sold my fat fives for $100 and going rate for the si wheels around here is like $250 if they are mint. The axles are lal interchangeable into stock CRX si hubs

you can get brand new, lightweight 15 or 16 x 7" wheels for like $400-$500.

Are you joking, "they ONLY list for $181"??

Man, if you wanna give your $$ away go ahead, but they can be had for MUCH cheaper. You can usually find a set of "99-00 Si" wheels for around 300-$400, sometimes with tires. These will be easier to find anyway since Honda still uses that style of rim from first on the '99 Si all the way up to '05 on the Ex i beleive.

The "Fat Fives" i don't think you can get from Honda anymore and if you could they would even be more ridiculously priced. They were only made in 94-95 and were avail. only on the 94-95 Integra GSR. Again those too can be had, with tires sometimes for 300-$400.

I can get 30 off Honda parts, so the wheels turn out to be about $126 ea + center caps. Not too bad for brandy new factory wheels.
