Just purchased this awhile back after filling up a few times I am seeing that the 1.5 litter only gets about 18 mpg. Is that normal for these, and also if not any idea's on what could be going on. Thanks

That's definitely not normal. :shock:

It's hard to say what could cause it though, unless you give us more info. What are your driving habits, does it idle smooth, is it running rich (can you smell gas in the exhaust?) etc.

Well after seeing how ****ty it was I took it really easy shifted about 2500 everywhere I went and still nothing like I expected. Not running rich and as for idle sometimes around 1800 and sometimes below 1000 just depends on the day. Sometimes I start it and it is one place and other days another. Does not depend on weather or if it has been running it is very ghostly?? Timing is slightly off as it diesels rarely when i turn it off, hoping ot fix that this weekend when I get a timing light. ok I think it is the carb, anyone have an idea of where i can find a carb for it???
