This is a post I just made on another thread.
Might as well re-post as I've seen this A LOT and even recently !

Sounds like your brushes may be way low. That was half of my issue. Weak charge, weak starts... Etc..

i JUST had an issue like this.
Inside the alternator is the rectifier. Mine blew. It's wayyy easy to swap them out. You can get a rectifier rebuild kit for any dseries alternator. I think the bseries ones also fit.

Search Honda Alternator Regulator

I found some cheaper stuff..
Luckily I had an extra alternator to swap brushes and regulator over. I had NO brushes left lol.
Here's the search link.

My 1990 CRX HF doesn't have automatic seat belts. I disconnected the cannon plugs at the 2 pulley locations in each door. I also disconnected the radio, cigarette lighter, and seat belt plugs under the seat.

If it turns out to be the electrical connection to my seat belt tensioners what are my options if Honda won't repair it? They did replace the actual belt and pulleys in each door several months ago, but I doubt they'll yank out the wires to replace everything in each door panel.

Is I possible to install aftermarket seatbelts that use a mechanical inertia lock system?

Have you checked with an ammeter yet?

They're not expensive; I saw a multimeter over at my FLAPS (Friendly Local Auto Parts Store) for something like five bucks the other day. It should be more than good enough for automotive use.

Seriously, you should actually try to find the problem, as opposed to juts randomly doing stuff to the car until you can start it the next morning...

tried the unhooking of the retractors in my 91 crx this evening ant the seatbelt lites and buzzer wouldnt shutup so had to take the door panels off yet again and hook them back up. that wasnt fun and was rather a pain to do twice in one day.

Does anyone know what the current draw is for the computer? '91 CRX
I'm guessing under 50 milliamps.
I use a battery tender anytime it will probably sit for a couple of weeks or longer, so I don't have any problem with drain. Back before I got the 'tender', the battery could drain a noticeable amount if it sat for an extended time (4-6 months).
I'm just curious what the computer draws when all is well with the car,... and I haven't found it anywhere I've looked.
I can measure it, and probably will if I can't find out here.
But that means getting out of the chair.
