With the positive influx of new members, and the unfortunate downtime of another board, i think it is a good time to say that the CRX world should very much become a community once again. Unfortunately in the past we've all been split, and all sorts of new sites have popped up faster than zits on a 13 yr old...

I think that we all just need to learn to get along, and support one strong site. Having extra sites isn't a bad thing necessarily, but much like EVERYONE recommeneds RPR to 1st Genners, we all need to do our part to bring this site to the forefront of the minds of CRX owners as the new premier site on the web for CRX's.

The admin here Tom is a very good person to be running a site such as this, because his focus and desire for the site are second to none. His business is a web hosting company, and this site basically has a permanant home because of that. He certainly has my full backing on creating a new home on the web for every CRX owner.

Towards that end, make an effort to talke to everyone you know who has a CRX. Let them know about this site. There is no reason to do board spamming, or talk bad about other sites, because we don't NEED to. It will be seen through time that this site is the site to be at if you own a CRX and need help with it. Pass along the word, and help this site grow.

Also, so that no one thinks these words come from a biased position, i have no ownership or professional binding with this site. I am not a moderator here, and likely will never be. I've run that corse into the ground, and i just want to enjoy myself for a while. I myself am having to pick a new 'CRX Home' on the web, and i am choosing this one to endorse as much as i can to friends, customers, and anyone who is willing to listen.. lol.

Do whatever you can. We NEED a site that stands atop the hill of other sites out there, and the only way this site will get there is if WE put it there. The CRX Community is the perfect place for that (not to mention the catchy name )

One suggestion: See the Business Card thread... make a small donation, and get some site business cards to pass out to everyone you see with a CRX.

I'll do what i can... will you? 8)

Well put ComposiMo. I would also like to mention that this site is built around positive relationships and positive input. We are all here to share our enthusiasm for the CRX and to share our experiences. If you have a technical experience that you would like to share, I urge you to make a post about it. If you are about to do a repair or major project on your CRX, try to document it and take a few pictures so you can make a HOW TO writeup. By spreading the word, we can get people to come here. By having good information and a friendly atmosphere, we can entice people to stay.

That's exactly what this site was meant for. As a community, we can grow. I can't do any of this by myself. As it was mentioned, there are plenty of other sites out there. But this is the one that should stand out, because it's owned by us. Not me...US. That's why it's called the CRX Community. I'm just here to facilitate and help the community interact. Here we vote for what WE want. If you don't like something about the site, speak up. This is your site too. The Feedback forum was made just for that. By gaining 200+ users in less than 11 months, it's obvious that we're doing something right. Help us keep it up. Thanks guys!

I handed out my first card yesterday. It was a riced up a crx hard core. CF altezzas, some unknown body kit etc.. Turned out the guy really likes crx's. Hopefully he'll come by and check us out.

I visit 3 sites. This one mainly, because of the atmosphere and the people.

Honda-Tech... mainly because I'm selling some prelude parts and HT is pretty good for moving stuff in the prelude forum

And EF-Honda, its a good site. In fact some of the people there have signed up here.

one of the things i love about this site is that nobody's here to boss anybody else around... i mean... i'm a mod, but can you tell that by looking at this post? nope. i'm just an average joe and quite frankly i don't like having to change posts. lol. and Tom doesn't act like an admin... he's just an average CRX'er like the rest of us.... well kinda... i kinda picked up a 96 suby legacy 2.5 gt a couple weeks back and it's my dd now. gotta build up the 1g for auto-x

I'll try to make a donation at the end of this month. I don't know about handing out cards though, I hardly ever see other CRX's around here.
