Hey guys and gals! Guess what, I just bought my second CRX this week. I found another, 1989 CRX DX this time. So now I have a HF and a DX. The DX is in a hell of a lot better shape than the HF. Is there anything I should be taking off the HF to swap over to the DX? I know the fuel injection is better on the HF but I plan on swaping the motor to somethine more gutsy this summer, so I don't know if I'm going to bother with the FI swap. Anything else I should consider?

I'll have pictures soon!

If you want to junk the HF shell, you might as well use it to MPFI the other car so it's ready for a swap, since you won't be swapping a DPFI motor into it.

For non-engine stuff, swap over the front sway bar and bumper supports. The sway is slightly smaller and will make it understeer less. The supports are lighter than the DX ones by a bit too. If you swap a D series in, consider keeping the HF crank pulley around, but you will need the belts that are on the HF because it's bigger in diameter.

Thanks for the info. I'm picking up the car on Tuesday. I'll get it back to the garage and go through it some more. The wife and I are going to a Bed and Breakfast this weekend for the New year. Something about spending 3 days in a B&B with absolutly nothing to do but find out whats in the Victoria's Secret bag. :peace: With just a little of this :whip:

Ok, here you go. My second rex in two weeks. Just picked it up today. It has 210k on it but runs excellent. The interior is in pretty good shape. A few dings and dents but smoother than the HF sitting next to it. As you can tell I have way to many projects in the garage. I'm working on the 46 chevy every other week now. The rex is my top concern. Enjoy and please let me know what everyone thinks. Let me know if the pictures are too big.

congrats on the find man!
Thanks, I'm excited as hell. I cleaned the window paint off the windows and wiped it down inside. Looks pretty good for being a ranchers car. My wife loves it. She use to have a Mercury Capri that she just loved! To bad I totalled it for it. So I'm trying to make up for it. Its going to be beautiful when I'm done! I'll keep everyone posted!!!
