This might be a nice thread to get to know our members a little better.

Your parts car has it's roof on backwards! And your HF looks awesome! I've never seen a hatch floor look that clean. Very nice.

How'd this one slip to page 50? Let me bring it back. I'll play along.

I'm Jason, I'm 30, I live in Warren, PA. I'm currently a General Laborer in a plastic injection molding and assembly plant. We make all sorts of automotive incandecent and LED lighting and mirrors for all the major brands of semi and trailer. Also, we make nice LED military lights.

I've had too many cars to count. But here's a quick list.
87 Chevy Spectrum Sedan
93 Ford Ranger Sport
94 Cavalier RS
90 Escort GT
96 Dodge Stratus
99 S-10 Xtreme
88 Honda CRX Dx
94 Honda Accord EX Coupe
89 CRX Si
03 Civic Si EP3
93 Ford Probe GT

and currently I have:
03 Jeep Wrangler
90 CRX Dx

5 Hondas, 3 of which we CRXs, not counting the 99 Civic LX Sedan the wife had.

The 88 Dx was what got me hooked. I had really enjoyed the 90 Escort GT. I beat the holy crap out of that car and it took everything I could give it. Then I longed for another little 2 door hatch back. That's when I got my first Dx. I drove it till the rockers caved in from rust and gave it away.

Later on after getting my 94 Accord, I went on a hunt for a rust free CRX to enjoy. That's when I found the 89 Si. I had it for 4 years and only drove it 1400 miles. I was afraid to ruin it in the crappy weather up here in the NE part of the US. So I eventually sold it for what I paid for it and decided to walk away from the import scene.

Then one day my friend called me and told me he had a 90 Dx that he wanted to sell an dasked if I knew anyone that wanted it. After a bit of haggling, he sold me the car for $400. I think he was shocked to see it start up after a battery and some gas was put in. lol.

So that's where I am now, restoring the Dx to good DD status and enjoying it. It's getting rusty, it's not overly fast, but I'll be damned if it's not jsut as much fun as my first 88 Dx was. Like McDonalds, I'm lovin' it! hehe.

No rice here...

I'm Tom, 23, and I'm a student at RPI (not RIT!) studying physics. I'm going to be a high school teacher next year. I spend too much time with my CRX and working on cars in general, I also manage the student auto shop at RPI. I've only had 2 cars, both CRXs, and I had a street bike before that, and dirtbikes before that when I couldn't drive on the street. We've had a lot of Hondas in the family... 1989 Acoord LXi, 1990 CRX Si, 9 Civic EX Coupe, 2000 Civic Si, 2006 Civic Si, 2005 TSX 6 speed, 2004 919, and my roommate/brother-in-law-to-be has a 2003 RSX Type-S.

1984 Honda CB00SC Nighthawk S

this was an awesome bike, I regret selling it, and I don't have that many pics left (but I do have parts)

1990 CRX Si

(the only pic that doesn't look just like the other one)

1991 CRX Si

1984 Honda CB650SC Nighthawk, my stepdad just gave me this a few months ago since he doesn't ride it with the 919 around. No pics, sorry!

Other cars in the family:

TSX and 06 Si:

RSX:

I'm Dain, 24, I like long walks on the beach, sunsets......uh......er......

Yeah, so anyway :p

I'm still in college, just changed my major to computer science (3rd change), and have been known to slack off with the best of 'em. I'm more serious now and hope to get done with school some time this decade!!

I've had the college life, commuter life, and many things in between. I enjoy computers, guitar, repairing/messing with mechanical things, the typical drink/party hard life, Xbox360, and of course cars.

I've had in order:

'87 Honda Accord LX (12 valve carbed) sold
'95 Dodge Dakota (3.9 V6) still have it, my dad smashed it this winter :x
'97 Honda Civic LX (loner car from the family)
'99 Mazda 626 EX (V6 tons of options) T-boned
'99 Honda Accord LX (2.3L) sold

currently my '90 CRX Si :D I purchased after getting bored with my bland accord and having always wanted a CRX, I got one from NC.

Whenever I get a need for speed from a more modern car, I go and drive one of my friend Chris's car, and enjoy the 400 a month I'm not paying!
I also love dirtbikes, though I have never owned my own.
OH yeah, and one more thing....CRX 4 lyfe!

hi, i'm len, and i am a rexaholic (i think...i don't know if i qualify yet...) i work at a hocky arena but i don't know for how much longer, calling in all the time. I am going through college on army money, and am trying to figure out how to become a psychologist. Also, I know Korean, and would like to figure out a way of using that (to teach english over there, all you really need to do is speek it, but could i just DIVE right into that? maybe if i could be an assistant for a year that would be nice.)

I would say i have some skill in mechanic stuff...i can replace almost anything, diagnosing is still pretty hard, and I get my other friends to quiz me on different parts of the car (unattached, out of context, 'whats this?' type stuff) which is getting pretty obscure, but sadly, mainly stays within the chrysler 88hp 4-banger family (oh thats the oil pump camshaft)

My first vehicle was a GEO tracker from my sister (for money she owed me) eventually got that running pretty good and my bro-in-law said i should trade for his CRX, since he needed a 4 seater. so i got my first CRX HF, and the white and black colors at night made me think it would look good with the panda paint (cause i kept seeing it on the damn inital D my friends were into)

Drove the CRX till this past winter where i eventually lost control and wrecked it. JUST after it was finally fixed. THEN the tracker threw a rod and busted a hole in the side of its block. The CRX was so good i had to get another one. The panda had almost no body damage, and the frame was a little bent (half an inch or so) from before i got it. Then i looked up how much it would have been worth on KBB. I nearly **** a brick :p Alot more than that cheap geo i was driving around earlyer.

eventually i found a MN CRX (hey i needed a car) for $750, rusty, but no major holes (except the one in the hood, but hey, i got another hood i can use) all bondo-able this summer. Its a strange feeling, that my friends are more into the mustle cars and stuff like that, and I'm the one doing the restoration job. With this one i'm planning on getting it back to HF condition untill my brother-in-law swaps his Z for a bigger one in his civic and i get to have that motor.

as for anything else, i'm still pretty n00bish when it comes to anything, i think i can bull**** pretty well, (its ALWAYS the ground causing problems) and am not that into riceing (maybe 25%) i got a fart-can on it, and had a big H sticker in the back. hey, it adds 1.5HP per square inch!

Ok,
I'm Henry, I am 25 and live in Columbus Ohio.
I love CRXes, I have had 2, a 90 HF which I still have
and an 89 Si which was cursed to hell with Y-49 and I
had it junked after throwing a rod. (yeah i know but it was so rusty i couldn't save it)
My HF currently has a ZC in it, with Si trans, EX brakes, HF Alum drums and Si interior.
I work around town as a Network Engineer. I consult for about 30 companies and I do anything from new server and network installs, Exchange migrations, to simple desktop support.
I also am in an indie rock band, I play bass and lead vocals.
I've been around the honda world for a long time, so hit me up if you need anything.

Sure why not.

Wesley C. I own this:

Its a 1990 Si. I did a mini-me on the original d16 but the fact I didn't have any car friends when I lived in texas (i still don't in idaho) the swap was ok and the timing was off. I don't have many places or people to ask for help so i tried my best. It finally got fixed then shortly after a rod threw. I now have a d16y8 with a jrsc and a few other goodies waiting to be tuned.

I'm 20 years old and my birthday is in August. I don't have friends since I moved to Idaho for school so im always on aim and im always playing games. Small hobbies are "modding" stuff like xbox and wii stuff (putting lights places, cutting things, making stuff look cool and function different). Working on the crx as much as I can. I like programming stuff but I have no clue how to do it. Majoring in electrical engineering - may change, but may stay the same because I love messing with electronics(just wish I knew more about them hence the major).

Been around the crx folk since the resource. Went absent once I got a 92 Maxima Se ("fully loaded") then some schmo in a truck totaled it. Then was the opportune time to get a crx...and I did. I bought a "SOHC Vtec" sticker from jay when I did the mini me and I asked if he knew about the resource and instead he referred me to here when it was just getting off its feet. Been here ever since.

I don't know what else to say, but its good to know some things i never knew about the people on this board.

edit- I never put that Sohc vtec sticker on and lost it. :p

Hi my name is Doug and I live in Bakersfield,Ca. I have had 7 1 gen crx's and has been the only car I have had sence 1986. The only other cars that have run through my life I have bought for my wife but I still drove a crx as my primary car.
My current crx I have had sence 1989, It's a 87 Si and has to many mods for me to remember so I won't even try.

My other crx that shares my DD duties is my 87 Si Spyder and yes it was sold new this way before anyone ask's. There were 310 made from 84-87 and was offered as an oem option.

I've been checking this place out for some time now but never registered untill lately because I'm seeing more 1 gen activity.

My first post!

Ive been browsing the community for a little while now, figured this would be a good place to start...

My name is Eric and im 20 for another week or so...

I'm a passionate collector of Matt Miner's used parts namely his 1990 STD Civic (haha I bought matt's STD!!) and soon my very first CRX!!

My daily driver currently is a 99 Miata, and theres a 198x toyota 4x4 truck somewhere outside too.

As far as the Honda's are concerned both will be suspended on omni's, roll on rota's and be d-powered. Im considering a high compression OEM build A6 for the hatch, and the CRX is getting the Z6 turbo motor...but based on how long Ive been collecting parts it could be a while and I'll probably change the plan a few times...

PS> anyone from the southern, RI area hit up Kingston Pizza, I make the best pizza around!

I my name is Bart I'm 25I live in Crestline Ohio. I am a Sales Rep for Time Warner Cable. I have owned many hondas in the last few years. I started out I sold my Honda 250r race quad, and bought a 87 Si back in 97-98, then I quickly picked up my current crx 89 si. I brought it back to life, with a ZC, WW kit, and many other parts. Then it evolved to B series status back in late 2001. Took a break form the Honda thing, for awhile from 2003-2006, then I put a k20a in it, and I'm in the process of redoing it further. In the mean time, I built a 90 DX hatch, and sold it, a 88 DX current beater, Dodge Colt, I swapped a 4g63t in it!, A Suzuki Samurai, it is on Toyota axles 37" tires, and getting a Chevy V6 put in it. I hardcore love cars, and modifying them, and everything else that can be modified.
