I just got these 16 insh rims.. but i dont wanna get really low profiles or too big.. i want them just right not soo expensive.. you know?.. im thinking about 45's - 55's.. let me know what ya think

Most people with 16's use 205/40-16s. The size you should use to get as close as possible to the stock tire size is 215/40-16. If you want a little bit more sidewall, check out some 205/45-16s.

16's are gonna somewhat expensive compared to 14 or 15's.
Remember if you plan on lowering your car, you will need to get a low profile tire anyway.
I beleive 40 is the lowest you can go on a 16 inch rim.

So if I moved up to 15X6 wheels, would everyone recommend 195/50?

This is a city/highway driver, but I would like to boost my ZC to about 180-200 HP next year. Do I need 205s or does that change the whole streetability of the car?

Yes I would recommend 195/50 for 15 inch wheels. If you go 205/50 it gives you a little more contact patch and sidewall, at the expense of a speedometer and odometer that will read low and slightly taller gearing.

205/50 is better than 195/55 though.

Thanks for the speedy reply. If I am at 180 WHP am I gonna need the 205s for traction? I am not too concerned about speedometer issues. I am more concerned with ride quality. Would 205s feel odd?

205's will give you a bit more grip and traction. Whether or not you 'need' it at 180whp is not for me to judge. I would guess no. In the lower gears you're still going to break loose if you floor it. If absolute performance is your goal, get the 205's.

The ride difference between 195s and 205s is negligible, both will feel firmer than the stock 185/60-14 tires.
