As you might remember, I found a pretty cool Momo wheel at the local junkyard a while back. I was there today and decided to pull the hub off the car (del sol). I was told an EG hub will fit the CRX, but the stalks on the column might be a little too close. Well, the hub was 5 bucks, but the bolt holes in it were a little messed up, so I retapped them. When I pulled the wheel, it was attached to the hub with wood screws, which screwed up the threads. When I went to mount the wheel, I realized the holes were in the wrong spot by a few millimeters, and the raised center wouldn't quite fit inside the steering wheel center. So I guess I'll be getting a new hub. Anybody know what kind of wheel has a similar (but different) 6-bolt pattern?

So.. you pulled the hub off the same car as the wheel, but now they won't fit together? :?

I know that MOMO and Sparco wheels all use the same 6-bolt patterns. I think Grant steering wheels use just 3 holes. I don't know about any other companies. If you are willing to spend about $60 for a brand new MOMO hub designed for the CRX, you can order one here.

Yeah, they won't fit because it looks like the wrong hub, and the previous owner seems to have used long wood screws that were in at angles. I noticed the screws when I took it off, but I drilled and retapped the holes. Grant uses 5 bolts. I was thinking it might also be possible that the wheel is a little different because it's so old. Anyway, I think I'll just order a new hub and probably a quick release. I want to get the wheel closer to me so my knees don't hit it. I like to sit forward but I'm a little tall for the CRX setup.
