Yea, well Alberto came a bit early this year i think... yea, its into Hurricane season already, but lots of people were commenting that it wouldn't be anything until mid July or something... so much for THAT forecast.. haha!

So Tropical Storm Alberto is headed this way it seems. Keep tight everyone in FL (and other coastal states of course)! This year ought to be full of more fun and adventure and hurricane parties than last year :(

Mark: There is no way on any divine plane of existance that i am being told to move to Idaho... hahaha!

downest: LoL... well, you guys must have stolen all our rain... we've been in drought-session for the last couple of months. I guess it'll be good, because hopefully it'll put out a lot of those fires that are out there. Its 'only' a Tropical Storm afterall, not a full blown hurricane.

But its still a bit early in the year.. heh.

Maybe i should build another boat... :p

No doubt. Idaho is gorgeous. I would move there if I could. If I could afford the housing, with a lower paying job. But I love it out there. My parents live not too far from Mark, and it's just absolutely stunning. We rode dirt bikes in the mountains on government/public land (I forget what they call it.) We went up to Redfish Lake which had water so clear you could see perfectly right to the bottom. I've never seen water that clear before....ever. Man, makes me want to go back again.

After looking through all 1575 pictures on the VisitIdaho.org site, i'll agree, it is very beautiful... but MAN, is that out there... lol.

What are the winters like? i noticed that most of the pictures all seem to be taken when there isn't snow everywhere at -20 degrees... like in this pic:

By the way Mark, which area do you live in? Is it all as 'Peachy-Keen' as the photos make it out to be?

But yes, i could deal with this on a daily basis:

Unless you are close to the coast you are protected enough in NC from hurricanes. I loved living in NC, very pretty in the early spring when the azelea bushes are in bloom. Live in the west part, it's real pretty the closer you get to the mountains.

Weird weather already this year....down here on the Ms. coast we haven't had significant rain for something like 48 days. This time of the year it usually rains every afternoon. My grass and some of my plants are dying. It's like a desert here when it's usually like a rainforest. I guess it's been good for people trying to get their roofs fixed but almost two months without rain? I've lived here my entire life and this is longest I can ever remember it going without rain......

Aside from the hurricane and the crud its stirred up since it passed through, we were in drought-mode as well for a loooong time. And what rain we did get was scattered, and nowhere near enough to put out fires and stuff... it definitely has been weird this year.
