Almost forgot about this. The little ring around the cigaretter lighter and the lighting for the cold/hot climate control knob seem to come on when they feel like it. I tried wiggling them but nothing changes, sometimes they come on with the lights, sometimes they don't. I don't know about the knob, but the lighter one is wired fine, I've had it out a couple of times before.

It could be bad bulbs...or corroded connections.

Bulbs that are "going" can tend to do that.
Replace the small bulbs and retest.

Might as well replace the whole climate control then... it's cracked anyway.

my gauge cluster does that. some the lights come on and off as they please, time for a new cluster i guess....i see john has a gsr cluster in his used parts section....hmmmm, maybe later i've got my hands full now 8)
