sup guys, im getting a little confused with timing.

that's my cam pulley with my crank at TDC. it looks off because the timing mark on the belt cover doesnt lign up with the notch on the cam pulley... but if i make it align, the other two notches dont match up with the valve cover mating surface... and the crank pulley mark is way off.

im about to take off the belt and make the marks on both pulleys align the slap the belt back on.. but i wanted a second opinion on whether it's correct as it is now so i could avoid a really big headache.

thanks!

You want to line up the two opposing marks with the seam between the head and the valve cover. The remaining mark and pointer are for the D16 bottom end. The D16 has a slightly taller block than the D15, so it has it's own pointer.

ahh. no kidding. thanks, im gonna double check how well it lines up with the crank at tdc tomorrow morning.

anyway, i was screwing with my engine (see valve clearance thread) cause im swapping it out real soon, i dont even drive it anymore. but a couple of things went wrong along the way..

first my idle went up really high till i had to retard my dizzy completely... left it alone and the next day when i started it, it sounded like only TWO cylinders were firing..

i just need to fix it so i can drive it to the shop. if i cant, i guess i can always tow it.
