So I was puttering around online the other day, and came across a picture of a car that looked an awful lot like a civic/crx, but newer, with a caption on the bottom of it that said "Honda's new 2006 CRX". as im not online too awful much, i thought maybe i completely missed the release. Did I, or was the picture a fake, or is it not released yet? anyone have any links about the car, or any info about it?

Well, I dont think so, ive seen the si, and its various styles, but this was clearly not it. and it said boldly, CRX. I dont know, maybe it was a fake or something....

Theres no new CRX...and there wont be. There was going to be a "New CRX" practicly every year since about '95. Basicly, the lightweight 2 seater that we know wouldn't sell in todays market. With all the things people demand in todays cars, you just wouldnt have the same car as we know.

I wouldn't so far as to see it will never happen, but it won't be the same car. My point: the new Civic Si weighs over 2800 lbs. Safety and features have pushed cars above the size and weight that made the CRX such a great car.

The most recent thing I've seen about a "new CRX" is the Honda Sports Hybrid Concept that is going to debut at the Geneva autoshow next month. Not much info other than it's more advanced and sportier than the Insight, and this is the only picture released so far.

If you didn't notice, it's 2007. So, if this "2006 CRX" WAS real, how could it be "not released yet"? It would have been out for a year already...

We've all just seen this question hundreds of times over the years, and the answer is always the same. IF (that's a big IF) and when something changes and a new CRX actually IS on the way, you can rest assured that, unless you have inside information from Honda, we'll probably already know about it.

Today's lesson: not everything you see on the internet is legitimate. Spy shots on Autoweek.com? Probably legit. Photoshopped image on random dude's HONDAZ WIT V-TEK website? Not quite.

Closest thing out there is Nissans 350Z imho. Its probably as close as it will ever be too - relatively quick, not too damn expensive (although not cheap), modifiable, and meets requirements but still is relatively spartan.

It goes both ways, you could have taken the 3.3 seconds and done a little more research on your part , you would have found that the Crx rumors are just that....rumors.

To make you feel better:
This rumor/topic has been talked about for the past 10yrs., the Crx is not being resurrected. Oh wait...here is the "NEW" Crx ........AGAIN!!!
