Well, I won't get into too much of the gory details, but basically, I had to go to the doctor yesterday and he is pretty certain that I have Kidney stones. So far, I've only been feeling mild discomfort and a back ache near my right kidney. In my doctor's words, "here's a prescription for Tylenol 3's. The worst is yet to come. You are quite likely looking forward to the most painful experience of your life once the stones come loose.". Anyone else experienced this before?

Thankfully no. But a good friend of mine has, and apparently it was the worst pain he's ever experienced! I don't want to scare you too much, but in he said they felt like glass shards passing through.....well, I guess you know where it passes. Something to look forward too.

Yeah, um.....good luck.

Well, I'm going for tests sometime this week hopefully. I actually hoping that it is kidney stones, because the other options for the symptoms I've been experiencing are far worse. Kidney failure, kidney cancer, or prostate cancer. So ya, I'll take some more of that luck if you're offering! ;)

Stick,
I worked with a guy that had KS,and he was out of work for about 2 to 3 weeks.
Trust me on this one,OPT for the ultrasonic treatment. What this is that you are placed in a tub of water(solution) and a pinpoint sonic gun is used to break up the stones.
I am in no way a doctor or understand how it works beyond that, but I do know it looks like the "least painful" method of relief.
OUch dude.
