I was thinking about getting a pair of the halo projector headlights. I was talking to a few guys at work about them. One of them installed them on his civic hatch and said he had poor visibilty. Anyone else have these installed? good, bad ugly?

alot of those things are poorly manufactured. Taillights and headlights from the aftermarket are known to have problems, especially with water leaking in.
I personally havent seen anything that I spend my money on like that, but its all up to what you like.

If you do get somthing like that it would be a good idea to work on getting a good seal on them so they dont leak or have alot of condesation in them.

Along with them being poorly made, I think that they just look horrible as well. They usually do not fit correctly, have a terrrible light output AND they just make the car look so cheap and tacky.

You can make a halo ring yourself pretty easily. Get an acrylic tube (like even a clear toothbrush will work) and form it into a circle using boiling water. At the top, leave a small gap big enough for an LED. When you light it up, you won't see any light coming out, so make notches all around the loop. It's basically how fibre optics work.
