Hey there... I'm wrapping up my 85Si motor swap into an 87DX shell...and have run into a problem.

Which wires go to the +/- posts of the coil? And where does the radio supressor fit in?

I should have pics up fairly soon, I'm nearing completion and its exciting!

I have a total of six wires...

From the distributor, in a plastic sheath, I have

a black wire with a male round connector (not a spade, and not a plastic plug)
a blue wire with an eyelet
a black/yellow wire with an eyelet

From the engine wiring harness, I have

a blue wire with an eyelet
a heavier guage black/yellow wire with an eyelet
a heavier guage black/yellow wire with a female round connector (mates to the style above)

The radio suppressor (I'm assuming, its square and black) I have has two leads, one male and one female round connectors. Does that connect to the wires that accompany the coil?

On another note, the coil says "Use with external resistor" on the side. Do I need to add one?

I'm not going to be much help due to the fact the only experience I have with the coil is when I installed my MSD Cap and MSD coil. I know for a fact the yellow/black wire is you positive coil wire. Usually the negative wire is blue/white.

So the back and yellow wires got attatched to the + side, and the rest are on the - side?

Anyone else with input?
