Well i need to mount the b16 to my engine stand and i need 4 bolts to thread thro the stand and then into the block. What size bolts should i use and i guess i put them into the tranny side. And i dont have a tranny so i dont have those bolts. :( and they have to be longer anyways.

And i relize i could go to some hardware store and look for hours which ill probably end up doing cause ill find the right size but then the threads wont fit.

Well i went to a hardware store up the street came back with a 10mm 1.75 or something bolts and tried them they slide right thro the holes a size to small i guess. i used a head bolt to try to figure the size of the hole on the tranny, well its like the same size cause i can quater of the way screw the bolt in then it gets stuck any suggestions?

go to a junkyard. you can get to some of the tranny bolts pretty easy at the top. D series are the same as B series bolts
All honda bolts are the same as all honda bolts. It's easier to make 1 bolt then to make 10 different version of it, it's also cheaper too! Grab any Honda or Acura tranny bolt it will work fine to hold up the engine. Why buy bolts when you can steal them from a scrapyard?

I use lower shock fork bolts. . . .But last time when those were loaned out i just got some long bolts and nuts. . . . smaller than holes. . . and bolted and nutted them. . . Clamming the engine against the stand pegs. .. works well. . . you can get 4 in this way i believe. . . .

surely you have 4 long bolts and nuts laying around. . .. you can shim them up with washers or old lugnuts. . . . .it just had to hold the engine. . . . its not like it is going to go anywhere.. . .

well i got some bolts, now whats the easiest way to mount it up on the stand. Its decently heavy and im not sure if they can keep it still while i thread the bolts thro taking my time lol. Probably would of been easier if i had my houist with me.
