Hey guys, I had a few questions about the b16 swap. This guy wants to sell me a b16 with a 14b turbo on it for $2000, plus he works at an auto shop and can do the swap for $600. He said he is not exactly sure on the kms but it is between 150k and 180k and he said he could do a compression test on the motor for me if I want. My questions are 1, is that a good price for the motor + turbo, 2 is that a lot of kms for a vtec engine, 3 what are the parts I would need for the swap, I know I would need motor mounts cause im sure my crx ones wouldnt work, but what are other parts I would need? Thats what im wondering for now, if there is something else I should know about the motor I can ask him, so let me know.

600 is what you should roughly expect to pay for the engine. . .. with tranny axles ecu etc you are going to have more. . . .
dont forget that a garage quoting a price should but may not include all little stuff that they are going to need along the way. . . . oil filters new timing belt and water pump.. . rune up stuff plugs wires cap rotor stuff like that. . . you would want to put all of this stuff onto an old engine that has been sitting and that alone could run an extra few hundred dollars.. .

its easy to want a swap. . ..its harder to actually save up and pay to have on done. .
