so i fired her up after almost 2 months and the voltage regulator on the alternator failed. I had to pull out the axle to get it out, but now im wondering what kind of alternator will be the correct one? should i get the one for the del sol b16 or the civic si b16?

Either one will work, the Sol b16 and Civic Si b16 are pretty much the same motor.

so i finally received the new alternator today and it is completely different than the one that i pulled of my b16. i ordered the alternator for a 2000 civic si dohc. can someone please tell me what the correct one is i am completely lost.

I would really appreciate any input; i am in a bind without my car.

Oy....

Yea, the alts are different. Get one for a 90-91 Acura Integra (any trim level).

Either one will work, the Sol b16 and Civic Si b16 are pretty much the same motor.

While they are both basically the same motor as each other, they are not the same as an OBD0 B16 with respect to things like the alt.
