You should have no crossmember clearance issues.

You can keep your A/C, but you'll need to use your stock compressor with the Hasport bracket.
Thanks, Im just not sure, my friend has a type r in a dx, but it could be because its a dx. He said there is some type of adapter you can buy or something. Ill just take my time. Its easier to do it right when you have time, but in the mean time i have to drive my dodge ram, so yeah i dont want to take forever.
Well that confused me a bit. It's a dx, but possibly a dx? That's like saying "I'm white, but I could be caucasian."

Seriously though, I'm not sure what adapter for what component you're talking about. The only adapter you need for the A/C is the Hasport compressor bracket like I said. There's nothing necessary to clear the front crossmember.
me i bought a crossmember named X-member
from place racing...
to have enough place to pass the 4-1 headers...
A 4-1 header changes the game. The place racing crossmember is junk though.
yes because you can not jack the car by the midle of the car!
For the time being the engine will be mainly stock with the exception of the intake and the obligatory full exhaust and fart pipe setup. The lsd tranny will be the goldmine. I cant find the ac adapter plate on hasport. Do you know where i can find a cheap one, if not i will make one. It would be easier to buy it but im not spendin $200 on it when i can make it for like 2 hrs of my time if that.
Well the hasport bracket can be found here for $169. That's the lowest price I could find. If you want to make one go right ahead.
The only cross member issue you will have is if you go with an aftermarket exhaust manifold they tend to touch so the cross member needs to be notched. Aswell the front bracket on the cross member should be removed as you will not use it with a B series.

Lose the AC, it's the best/cheapest solution.
v i just installed a generic 4-2-1 header on my b18 last weekend and had no clearance issues at all.. .. . not aure about the 4 to 1

I've only ever used a 4-1...so I dunno about 4-2-1.
I gotta have my ac. My girlfriend will give me crap if i dont have. So ill just make a bracket.

slap her and say that the AC kills the power and gas mileage. You could make a bracket but I would just buy one. So much easier and in the long run is alot less hassle.
I'm a sheet metal worker and my dad has been in fabrication for many years. I'll draw it up and get a tap and die set. Maybe I'll sell a couple, but the time ratio is a factor here so I'll see. Thanks for all the info man. Is there anything else you can think of in this swap that might be helpful???
