Backseat Mod

That's a JDM CRX if I'm not mistaken. Those are the only back seats I know of that fit in a CRX. You might be able to do something with the backseats out of a Civic hatch of the same generation, but it wouldn't likely be suitable for use by humans (not that the JDM backseat is).

Only back seat you can really use is the ones from a JDM/EDM Crx.

Where else would you expect them to come from?
Just looking at pics of Civic hatches and Crx's you can see the rear seats are completly different and would not swap between the two.

Also the seat and components do NOT come from an EF9, that is the Civic hatch SIR. What you would need would be the seats from ANY JDM/UKDM/EDM Crx. I beleive basically the Western Hemisphere were the only ones to NOT get a rear seat in the Crx.

Yeah, good point. I'm a little irritated, though. There's no way I'm going to spend 400 dollars at this point to get the seat.

I might retrofit a van half-seat or something. I really just want to be able to cruise with my wife and kid in the car, and she's got to be in a car seat.

I wouldn't recommend retrofitting "a van half-seat or something." I do understand your desire to be able to cruise with the wife and the kid, but putting something like htat in there would more than likely make the car seat a more deadly proposition than a safety device.

Beyond the height / sizing requirements, there are DOT laws that have to be met to have a rear seat, and I may be mistaken, but I don't think the CRX met them. Rear collision and you're talking death; not that a bad accident in a CRX isn't death anyway.

if some dumb ass was to ram you from behind, you could put your child in serious danger...

don't do it in my opinion.

I COMPLETLY agree with that statement.
The Crx will not take a rear collision very well, therefor i would advise AGAINST putting a rear seat in for your child.

You want a Honda, with a back seat, get a hatch, sedan or coupe.

There is no amount of need, or desire that would make me want to put my son in the backseat of a CRX. He will not ride in the car until he is old enough and big enough to do so legally..........for his safety. That, after all, is more important than anything else.

I'm good with what I've got, I actually have been meaning to figure out a nice way to get the CRX off so I could just put a little white outline of a T-Rex on there for shifts and giggles. Thanks for the offer though
