Personally I'm not really happy with the way the blacklisting thread is going.

May I suggest a different protocol?

Step 1: Victimised member opens a thread challenging the accused member.
Here, the subject may be discussed, and the topic starter must post a comprehensive summary of the transactions, and all the available details.

Step 2: A moderator will append the blacklist topic, with a short summary (one-liner) and a link to the respective appropriate thread.
This topic should be stickied, and locked in my opinion.

Step 3: Accused member's access will be restricted, until the dispute is resolved. He will be informed of this through email/PM.

Was a 'Vouch Thread' discussed? This is where I can go in and make a thread called "Dub's Vouch Thread". People I've dealt with can then post a comment saying, "Oh yeah, he's the man...got my parts here quick and they are super!" or "Man, this guy is a bum...he took forever and sent me some Home Depot lawn border crap instead of the m4d tite JDM Lip!"

Another forum I frequent, called ef-honda.com has this feature and it really works great. I use it whenever I am going to purchase something from someone there. I also started a post about the guy I bought my current engine from indicating the circumstances and gave him a chance to rebute. Come to find out other guys had been burnt by him too. He's a bum and now everyone knows it and will refrain from buying from him.
All the information is kept in one area and it is quick/easy to search instead of skimming through one giant thread and hoping the bad seller is on there. Then it is more of a neutral area that good AND bad props can be shared. Just an idea...

There are multiple discusstions going on at once, people asking questions on various matters. It clutters things up.

I believe a prospective new user shoulf have the information available to them in the blink of an eye. Especially on such a sensitive matter.

It's not a black-list now. More of a open debate.
There should be a mandatory format for this.

It will continue to be an open debate until the bad sellers decide to respond. Seems pretty cut and dry to me. If the buyer sent the money and they have not recieved the item they purchsed from the seller, especially if the amount of time that has gone by has been quite signifigant, sounds to me like a deadeat seller. Add to the fact that the deadbeat sellers don't even respond to any of the claims, don't try to contact the seller or make any attempt to alleviate the situation.

This is where a feedback number would be helpful. When posting feedback or trader rating, make it so you must post a link to the thread that the item pertains to.

Vouch forums could also be a good idea, but then you have lots of vouch forums cluttering up the forum, where a vouch/trader/feedback rating could make it less cluttered. I think Honda-Acura.net and Hondaswap use that type of system.

I think there should be a debate thread PER dispute. Not several criss-cross through eachother.
How about a forum for disputes, with 1 thread per user (with the thread named as the user's forum handle)? You'd still get crisscross on disputes if a user had multiples, but at least it's confined a bit.

Here's the vouch thread at ef-honda.com that I am referring to...it works great.
http://www.ef-honda.com/main/viewforum. ... 3f79cb4be7

I like the rating idea also, but with that you don't really have a lot to go by other than a number. What if someone gets screwed on a big time deal like a motor or car...and the users rating drops to 95%? Just an example of where a vouch thread would probably be a good thing to have in addition to a rating system.

you can add vteckillenzc to that list for me. Sent him money and never got my parts. That was 6 months ago. He's on hondatech too.
Any more details on your transaction? I'm not saying your not correct, but a few more details would be helpful so that he doesn't say/do the same to someone else.

Now....who's referring to whom? That thread is a disaster.

well something is better than nothing...I don't see how it's a problem that there is cross talk etc, etc...

If there was more communication before, several bad deals would have been avoided. I'm just glad the word is getting out.

If changes are to be made, pitch a plan to one of the mods. Right now the blacklist thread is short. Months from now, when it is page after page, maybe then it will need some revision.

I'm kind of surprised none of them have chimed in yet. :?:

Of course they could be cooking up some sort of plan.
