im trying to confirm whether the 88-89si came rear drum brakes and 90-92 came with disk...

cause right now im confused about my cars age. it's registered as a 90si, yet the guy that used to own the car said he had to do a rear disk conversion cause the drums kept locking up... so im thinking "ok, maybe it's just a caryover from 89." but then i also noticed i have the door mounted belts only found in 90-92!

also, for the front rotors, will 88-89 fit on a 90-92? im buying a set of cheap ones online and i dont wanna go through the trouble of sending it back.

thanks!

88-89 rexes all came with rear drums. In 90, only the Si's got rear disks.

All 88s had pillar mounted belts. In 89, the Si's and DX's received door mounted belts, and I believe it was 90 when they showed up on the HF too. This only applies to US rexes.

I believe the front brakes were the same for all 4 years on the DX and Si, and the HF had smaller ones for all 4 years.

I don't think any CRXs were actually built in 1992, they were just dated 92 because of when they first sold... I've actually heard of a second gen with the title claiming it to be a 1993. That was done in Europe.
