Hold the cam on one of the lobes with a large adjustable crescent wrench (seriously), and then blow the bolt off with either an impact gun, or hold it down on top of a workbench while a buddy breaks the bolt loose. If it makes you feel better, you can put a lightweight cloth over the cam, and then grip it with the wrench, but only ONE layer... don't wrap it thick.
Then, if it won't just slide off the cam, use a rubber mallet to tap around the edges of the gear, to knock it off the cam... make sure you catch/keep/retain/find after loosing the key that keeps the gear from rotating on the shaft 8)
