How about it?

I remember this being discussed once before, but I couldn't find it. The consensus then was that there weren't enough people to justify a chat, not enough people were on the site at any given time.

Now though, the site has grown quite a bit. It's not uncommon to look at the bottom of the main page and see 10 or more users online.

Time for chat.

I think something that might be a bit better then a char would be a shoutbox. You can have simple conversations there, its just a php script, and dont have to make a new thread for just posting a link or asking a simple question.

Threads are nice because they stay around, and we develop a nice archive of useful information.

Yea I don't like shout box's they just clutter up the forum and distract people from the forum.
