ok i am going to rip out my trans in just a few, there is oil and sludge all over itt, what is the best thing to use on it so that it turns out looking like my motor that i posted up awile ago (aka so fresh and so clean)

Seriously man just simple green and water, take your time and use a stiff nylon brush it will look great.

really, anything that cuts grease, like dish soap, soft scrub, any of those. just will take a little work scrubbing it down, but it will be cheap.
