Yesterday we had some terrible winds. I mean trees bending over bad. Infact its still whipping outside right now. I normally park 3 spots away from a tree in our parking lot. With the wind so bad I parked way out in the grass on the other side of the tree. About noon I went out and saw this.

Kinda hard to really see the tree but if it had fallen in my direction it would have hit my car  Then a few hours later 50+year old pine tree broke halfway up and landed on our building. Im getting ready to head to work this morning, see what else fell down and if i can dodge them long enough to get parked in a safe place

That's to be expected when you drive the lightest Crx.

Time to check your ball joints, steering rack, and other suspension parts ... I'd much rather drive my CRX in a big crosswind than either of my civics, it's much less sensitive to getting pushed around. But in the past when the suspension has been, ah, "less than tight" I'd end up on the shoulder after a big gust hit me. Meantime ... stay out of the wind and don't park under any big trees :)
I did double check everything, I just swapped the suspension for Si parts, and new ball joints, before the ditching......
But without a front bumper, the car isnt very "aerodynamic".....I wasnt going very fast due to the wind anyway. But on top of Brusha mountain, the wind is a bit more fierce.....and it blows..... :rolleyes1:
remnds me of when a tree fell on my dads car. We had just moved into our new house so the garage was full of boxes and other random crap. So he had to park his car out in the driveway. It was our family's first night sleeping in the house and the next morning we went outside to see a giant oak tree on top of his 1970 challenger. Took him and I about 7 years to get everything replaced and looking good again. We did all the work ourselfs except for the paint. So now that car holds a lot of sentimental value to me and gave me a lot of my best memories with my dad. (I was in 1st grade when it fell and 8th when it was "done")
