You might remember a while back I had a set of CRX power accessories: mirrors, windows and door locks. Recently I found a yard with a LOT of sedans, and I was thinking of grabbing everything I can and making it all into bolt-in kits for the CRX. Normally, you need to change the rails for the windows, gut and transfer the sedan mirrors to the CRX ones, and the locks need fabrication and (in most cases) cutting of the door bars. Personally, I'm not interested in any of this stuff except the locks, so I can use them with my alarm for keyless entry.
Anyway, I was talking to someone else here on MSN about making a pretty much bolt-in setup for each one. The mirrors and windows would be really easy, but the locks would take some work. He suggested I see who is interested, in what, and what everyone would be willing to pay for them.

So let me get some feedback!

I'd be moderately interested in the set-up, but as a broke ass kid I think I'd probably not have money for a serious purchase of that sort of thing until I got body work cleared up and done right.

I guess I'd need an estimate of the cost :p

Im interested, but im not trying to be a jdm or oem whore but what lock handles would you be selling? Or would you leave it to the customer to buy those?

Also i'd pay for you labor. As long as you don't sell them for an outrageous profit to you or sell them for as much as I could buy a complete kit from a crx that came with the options - im down. With that said, my cheap azz would like a ballpark quote on how much you think you would sell them for. If you ask me how much i'd buy them for - $0! So id love a quote, even if its a huge range.

I'd not buy anything I could do myself, and as far as pwr lcoks go, you can get a s et of actuators brand new fairly cheap that require no modding to install. The keyless handles arent THAT hard to find at a yard, and cost next to nothin.

Power accessories are overrated.
They are only nice when they work and super suck when they no longer work and the window is stuck in the down position! :x
You can always get the motors rewound and reconditioned. There isn't anything special about the actual motors. Just copper wire coils and carbon brushes.

I never said they could not be fixed.
It is just a PITA, window may be stuck down, tear open the door panel, remove the regulator/motor..etc, i don't have those problems with manual windows. :D
