Well I was going through my pics earlier and found the Car and Driver article that compared the 89 Si, a Fiero, and an MR2 and I noticed that it got an 18 out of 20 in the sex appeal catagory. Not bad. heres a pic of the points system for those interested. Thought you guys might like this. Who else finds the CR-X Sexy?

I think we've been a bit jaded by the beauty of modern cars, but the CRX has aged well. I was too young to appreciate it then, but at the time of its introduction it truly had no peers.

Its a good looking car to this day. I've definitely had plenty of women tell me they liked the crx. They all want a ride.

From the scoring on the table you posted though, it looks like the testers were favoring the MR2. Its really only that high score on the sex appeal, and the value that pulled it ahead. I've never driven one of those early M2s, but I guess I should.... Nah! Never!

I think the appeal of the MR2 is that you get a mid/rear sports car for a low price. I don't like driving the first gen MR2s very much, and they are an absolute pain in the ass to work on, not to mention in my experience reliability is questionable. I have seen that article, I think my stepdad actually has the magazine in the basement (he owned a Fiero and then a CRX), remember that it was written when they were new, how many MR2s and Fieros do you see now compared to CRXs?

Actually, I see a lot of Fieros... in the junkyard! They don't rust or seem to crumple as much because they're fibreglass, so they are usually the best looking cars in the yard.

I hear that! I HATE MR2's.... of ALL generations because of how they are to work on :lol:

The gen2 makes up for it because it's more fun to drive, in my opinion.

I think it's cute that it scores so high on the sex appeal list. Only thing is that they compared it to a fiero.

That's exactly like a friend telling you you have a hot date after he took a fat ugly chick home.
