D-series motor mounts

My old OEM motor mounts are really annoying me. It's getting pretty bad. I constantly get a bouncing motion from a stop when I start out and give it gas. I can tell it's from the engine twisting in place. So I have a couple of questions:

1. Are there any good aftermarket D-series motor mounts?
2. Would those Energy Suspension motor mount inserts do me any good if my current mounts are shot? Or do I need to have a good solid mount to start with?

I personally hated the ES inserts, too much vibration for me.
Instead I did this or similar to all my mounts
I've seen this done as well.Nice cheap idea.

I went on and bought some body seam sealer and filled in the spaces in my motor mounts.
Its not as firm as the ES suspension ones and is pliable enough to take some of the shock out of the drivetrain.
I'll try to get the name of the product at work tomorrow.
are you sure it is your motor mounts and not your upper control arm bushings?

Actually, yeah. I just installed the Energy Suspension motor mount earlier this week (posted in another thread) and it solved the problem. I do have the full ES bushing kit waiting to be installed at some point. I had the upper arms off not too long ago and they looked and felt solid.

oh ok, cause i replaced the front suspension and motor mounts and had this problem which i narrowed it down to what i am told the UCA and bushings...havent had a chance to install the new ones yet...
My car was doing the same, I used the prothane mounts, the vibration kinda sucks, but I got used to it
Nothing like nice OEM mounts. I like my vibration free ride. Worth every penny in my book.
If you are doing HI-PO, then DO those maximum Urethane mounts.

I went with stock = OK by me. But I'm really not "HiPo" They will wear out eventually. (80k + miles...) Then I'll replace them again, no problem.

But you know, sloppy engine mounts Are a disaster! :)
