I blew my turbo dohc zc motor. My crx is 88 HF. I have a 91 civic HB that has a d15b. I'm going to put that d15b motor in my crx. Is there a way where I can just install my intercooler(not the turbo). I just Love the look of an intercooler.

Yeah you could...but it would do very little if anything for performance. I wouldn't turbo the D15 unless you plan on rebuilding and beefing up the rods first.
If i'm not mistaken a jdm d15b vtec is capable of 200+whp turbo'd, all stock... i don't know about reliability....

I don't know which D15B he has. My D15B (CRX DX motor) has a weaker bottom end than my D16A6. Either way, I'd recommend building the bottom end for a turbo set-up if that's what he wants to do.

Its a d15b2. The only reason why I'm putting the d15b2 motor in my crx is because I blew my zc motor.I have a blue 91 civic that has that d15b2 but has really bad body damage. I need a car to drive. I'm tired of taking the bus. I am not doing the motor swap for performance but just to be able to drive. The only reason why I want the intercooler installed is because I dont want a big whole in front.(the intercooler look. looks cool)
Also This is temp. I'm saving up for a b16b(jdm type r)motor.

Well in all fairness, you can really do what you please. If you're not planning on turboing that thing (which would be recommended), i don't think an intercooler would really be a good idea... whats wrong with the hole???

and just curious... why the b16b? for the $ you have many better alternatives! still, to each is their own
