What is the difference in these two engines and if i was swapping out a 15B ('88DX) for a D16A6 would i have to make many if any mods?

the dx is a dpfi (fuel injection), while the si d16a6 is MPFI. They are 2 different set ups, but its pretty much a required thing to do if you plan on upgrading motors. Someone here can give you the run down on it, I dont think its too hard, Ive just never looked into it since I havent need to do it.

Are you talking about the stock D15B2? The main difference is the intake, it's dual-point. The D15 has a less aggressive cam, and obviously .1 liter less displacement. You'll need to convert to MPFI to swap in the A6. I'm not going to detail that because there's plenty of information to be had with a search. That's really all you'll have to do, the rest of it is bolt-in. Also get the Si trans with the A6 if you can.

You may just want to do the MPFI swap. It's very easy to do, and set you up for any future modifications.
