I am thinking of swapping a d16y5 into my 89 CRX HF. I'm intrested in hearing from any one who has tryed this swap or knows someone who did it.
What do you think of the over all performance and what kind of MPG?

Y5? I dont know that motor. what did it come in? Maybe a Y7....Y8...?

D16Y5 is out of a 96-00 Civic Hx.

I don't know how similar the internals are, I'm sure the block is identical. The Y5 employs a version of VTEC-e, and makes 106 hp. The Y7 is non-VTEC, 115 hp.
