This one I really don't understand...
I go to put on my front bumper and it doesn't fit...
Ok so I have a new bumper bracket on the car and the tag on it says "For a 90-91 Honda Civic CRX"

I also have a new bumper spacer which also says for 90-91...

And I have this new/used front bumper which also says for a 90-91!

The bumper seems to fit pretty well with the exception of the fact that it seems to be too short.

So what's going on here why is the bumper too short???

make sure that you have the bumper put on all the way on the bottom, mine did that once, and i couldnt figure it out, until i noticed that the bottom wasnt where it was supposed to be, also i find it easier to take the rebar off the car,and install the bumper on that first, then put it all on the car at once, but which ever you prefer,

Looks like the right bumper to me. Just make sure nothing is catching. The bottom lip has to flare out, the upper lip has to flare up, and I think those bolt holes in your picture with the headlight actually have to go underneath the headlight (those are bolts that usually seem to get left out).

I suggest assembling the bumper and stuff off of the car, then bolting the bumper beam on through the spaces for the bumper lights. Just put the front bumper face down on a blanket or something, put the foam in, push it all the way tight, then put the beam on and screw the skin onto the beam. Then bolt it back on the car.

And the foam is important if you get into an accident. The crushing of the foam absorbs energy in low speed impact.

Yea you're so right...
Every time I fix something I run right into another problem!
I should have only paid $1000 for it!

Ok I tried forcing the bumper on again and it didn't budge so I guess I will take off the beam and try that rout.

Right now I am cutting the drivers side headlight bracket to match the one on the passenger side so that I can get the corner light on! I don't have any heavy duty cutting tools so I am using a dremel... So it is going to take me awhile to cut it all out.

I have put a solid 50+ hours into this car and I have had it less than three weeks. I am just hoping that it pays off and I will be able to get it all working and together soon. One thing that I am worried about is once I am finished all my cosmetic work is finding out what needs to be done mechanically!

you do not have it pushed in far enough... the top of it like right in front of the radiator needs to go into that folded up metal lip so that those 3 bolts can go through it and then the corners will wrap around and you will be able to bolt then on as well.. . . keep on jammin it needs to go more...

put more efort into it
and it will fit. . .
chris. ..

also make sure that your styerfoam fits into the bumper and nestles in there nice and snug.... might need moved around a little to seat it flat..

Something is just not lined up right. Those big Phillips screws on the cover should be back under the headlights. I'm going to guess that the foam isn't lined up quite right.

OK I will go out and take a picture of the inside of the bumper...
And no the bumper doesn't go any further if I don't use the foam...

Oh and yes the bumper is a replacement...

Ok here are some pictures of the bumper...

Both the bumper and the foam say "replacement part for civic crx 90-91
