Ah...brings back memories!

Way back in the day.

...they have special pens to do that. Takes forever, plus you have to de-grease the tire before they stick.

oh..the way they do it on race wheels is really hi-tech!
...they have a plastic cut out board with for instance "goodyear" cut out.
Big ol spray can of white... voila.

There's some tire paint Duplicolor makes... not sure where to get it, or how it works, applies, ect. I was just checking some specs on their wheel paint, and saw it listed on their site.

You could be cheap and use whiteout : D I'm sure it would do a similiar job but not last. Man I'm laughing to myself for suggesting it, but it could be a temporary thing to see if you like the look of it or not. I'm sure it would come off over time, and then you could decide. Silly idea, but I just thought I'd mention it ; p

okay i tried the whiteout.. and not too great.. although i also tried Liquitex Acrylic paint.. and it seems to work alright and even after a good hosedown stays good.. althgouh a few tips - take the wheels off the car (its really hard to paint with themon), mask off your lettering if you dont want little specs everywhere or dont want to deal with having to do everything one by one and it taking forever its your best bet i only did part of one tire but it looks pretty good i think im going to play with this some more in the next couple weeks and maybe write up a tutorial. i personally like the way it looks too

the paint can be bought at almost any art/craft store and you can apply it with a brush or if you water it down a bit maybe an airbrush but im not sure. but it is just regular acrylic paint that artists use

go to walmart, and go in the toy section. There should be paint pens for scale models there. These work just fine. Used them on my Semi tires before.
