Ok I have been looking through my friends junk yard and I seems to found a PERFECT B18C engine no damage and no rust, it runs awesome for that matter but, I was wondering if I would be able to fit that into my HONDA CRX 1991 SI if not would I be able to fit my K20A I got from my friend car, would I have to do serious modding?

correct me if i'm wrong, only a ZC engine you can drop right in, other blocks you need slight modifications for it to fit

ugh wow, your friend just gave you a k20A? and you just FOUND a perfect b18c

if so

you are one lucky guy, HEY IF YOU USE ONE OF THOSE ENGINE, GIVE ME THE OTHER ONE! :p
anything can be made to fit. HASport is one of the best comanies to talk to.
it would be cheaper to put the B18C in, also, it would be much easier. Thats an engine that was designed similar to the one in the CRX. The K20 is newer, but even if your getting it cheep, it will require extensive modification to get it in. also, theres not a lot of room to expand after that. For example, to install a turbo, you would have to remove the entire engine.

I say go with the B18
I say you go with what your wallet sees fit...
I'd go with the B-series, i hear those K-series motors are pigs. I think it best to keep our cars with a good balance of weight to power.
I could be wrong.

I think you should go with the B also and I'll give you a couple of hundred for the crappy K20

Actually as you can see from some of the posts on this board, the K20 is amazing without any modifications, stock. Yes there are more mods for the install, but Hasport has all the stuff you need.

200-220 bhp STOCK is nothing to sneeze at. The b18 if it is b18c1 or c5 is a great block. The a/b ones not as good.
i would go with b-series, but the dohc zc would drop right in and is 9;1 cr out of the box so u can boost it and make lots of power easier with zc.but its all on what u what to do after al it is your car.ftw mount kit for k series is close it 800$

Thanks I might drop the B18 in it but I just got mods for both engines too
O yeah here is my new free K20A told you good condition

And my B18C

Go to a junk yard and ask for new cars that have been in accdents they will have some good ones ^_^ O OK NOW if I go with the K20A dont I have to get new exhast and intake?[/img]
See less See more
b18 for sure
mounts are cheap these days
all you need will be the axles, tranny, shift linkage, and ecu (stock or chipped)

altho i am slightly biased to boosted sohcs ;)
