So I've been going on a wiring binge for my CRX haha...

Anyway, I want to hardwire my Escort so it sits up on the windshield again and I have a couple of questions. First off, will it be ok behind the shaded strip? My last CRX didn't have one, so I just had the detector all the way at the top, and ran the wire behind the headliner. I imagine it should be ok for regular microwave radar, but not for LIDAR.
Next, where do people mount the button on the remote mute thing? I tried using double sided tape on my last car and putting it on the bottom of the cluster under the defroster, but the tape never stayed. I also want to install this one right, I don't want this car full of tape and zip ties. I was thinking about using one of the little square panels on the dash, the largest one, to mount it along with the wideband's LED and button and an SCS switch. I can't figure out a way to do it though, the shape of it is weird and difficult to work with.

Yeah, this is how I had it on the old car. I ran the wire the same way. I'm not sure if it will be the best there, and I was considering moving it anyway since I can't use the visor when it's up.

This is what the remote display looks like, it's a PITA to mount on anything. I know the V1 one is nice and squarish, much easier to work with.
