Is the PM6 the stock d16a6 ECU?
Also, what's the stock ECU for a JDM DOHC ZC?

What can I expect to pay for a stock Si complete wiring harness?
When I pull the DX motor to put in the ZC, I want to do a wire tuck, so changing out the whole harness is probably in order.

*edit* I wasn't sure if this belonged in the mods section or stock section since it sort of deals with stock parts, even though the end result is going to be a mod. Feel free to move it if you feel it's in the wrong place.

Yes.
PM7.

I'm not sure on the cost of a used Si harness. My gut is telling me around $75.
Thanks.

Now to find the "converting a Si to ZC" wiring instructions and an Si harness.

I also have distributor plugs for the Si harness... I can include those with the pulley and oil pan.

ECUs...

PM7 is the stock ZC
PG7 is the 86-89 Teg, very similar to the ZC maps, runs slightly rich
PM6 will also run the ZC, but runs fairly rich. You could chip a 90-91 PM6 fairly easily though.

You' ARE the hotness. IF there was a kissy face smilie, I'd be all over you. lol.

He's giving me a pg7 ECU with it, and 89 Teg axles (I don't think I can use them with the ZC) which is another reason I want to go to the Si transmission, so I can keep it simple and use Si axles. It's less BS to deal with.

I want this swap to go as painless as possible. My only local helpers are all old muscle car guys. My dad (my garage buddy) doesn't know jack about 4cyl import terrors.

If I can set it all up so I can yank the D15 turd box out, drop in the ZC, run the fresh Si Harness cleanly to the pm7 (ya, I'll look around for the proper ecu) and plug it all in and just fire it up I'll be happy.

Do not replace your stock harness with another one. Use your factory one and modify it to run MPFI and Si dizzy. VERY easy to do. Search Honda-Tech for MPFI in the CRX FAQ and you will find alot of good info!

Swapping harnesses will only give you more headaches then modifying your existing one.

I plan to do a wire tuck too, so now's a perfect time to do it...

seriously my friend, just use a converted dx harness. we ar enot kidding when we talk about the headaches you will induce by trying to swap the engine harness to a different type. its really easy to convert your dx harness, and like you said, if you are tucking it already....

please please use the dx engine harness!

converted dx harness, si tranny, ecu, plug and play. def the way to go.

I'm telling you, convert your harness. Converting your harness not only will save you money, it will prevent you from getting electrical start up issues. Besides, if you are doing a tuck, it's easier to add tucked wiring then to swap an entire harness over that wasn't made to be tucked in the first place. You would be doing yourself a favor by just going MPFI.

Here's the wire tuck write up I'll be following

If I'm pretty much taking the entire harness out, what's the difference if I switch it to an Si harness? Are they considerably different?

If you live anywhere near me and instead of Mt. Dew you get some Crush Cream Soda, I'm there with all my things.
