I got my subs installed and they cut out anywhere over half volume and they drain my battery which is hellahorrible :? does anyone know what may cause these things cus its a pain in the rear... Thx for info!!

I would check the grounds, turn your gain down on the amp, get a 1 farad cap.

Also, roll over to Autozone, Advanced Auto, Napa, or Pepboys and ask them to test your battery and/or alternator to make sure you've got enough juice to keep the car running without the stereo on.

Perhaps your battery is shot and not taking a charge. Or maybe your alternator isn't making enough amps to recharge it.

The 1 farad cap is an awesome idea. You can get one at Walmart pretty cheap now days.

From there, I'd swap to an Optima Battery (search here for details)

Ahh yes, some more good ideas!

If you find out that the battery or alt. is bad, replace as needed and pick up a cap. You should be goo to go from there.

well ive just tooken it to a shop who when i asked if they would test stereo said " We dont touch no bloody f*$cking shot radio!" i was like :O well test the alternator and then give it back. I dont like them but hey...anyways i will prolly get the stereo fixed up good when i go to edmonton and all that....hey anyone in edmonton know of good audio shops? thx

rfalls pretty much anywhere but if you've ever checked out double diamond everything is CHEAP but its a supplier store so not much stuff. my cousin at raven truck accesories on the north has a few little speakers and 1 sub and 1 amp and a DVD/navi deck. Back on topic though i just had my alternator tested today and not good news when the cars is on with my air and amp hooked in it charges at 5.2A and it should be at 60A when the air and amp are off it charges at yes -2.1A. I used a new tool from honda that cost us $2500 i didnt need to remove anything. O ya does anyone know if you can a bigger alternator for rexes? as in bigger than 60A?

Yeah im looking for a shop in edmonton that will fix my cars stereo...and im picking the car up today and they are testing the alt. and the stuff mechanical to see any problems

You can get a "High Output Alt." for just about any car. But we're talking 150+ amps and a large bag of cash... Here's one I've found, possibly specific to your car, but you might look around and see you can find one cheaper...lol. Here's a Remanufactured one for a lot cheaper.
