Car has an engine swap that was done about 3 years ago never had a problem with new engine car runs mint always starts idel is great very smooth, Has a 1995 1.6L Vtec SOHC engine , with Si tranny and cluthmasters stage 2 clutch, short trow shifter, engine was ported and polished on the intake and exhaust sides, full exhaust with stillen headers and high flow cat by catco, and R1 muffler with silencer( very nice tone from engine) Ice man intake, msg ignition,

reminds me off a guy here in town that unknowingly put a si engine in a 4dr civic and couldnt figure out why it wouldnt run.

so can you run a vtec engine on dpfi? and why would you? is the car in the south by chance?

on roughly the same subject I was at the car wash the other day. and there was this guy there prob about 35 40 with a 2wd mazda truck red and it looked like he kept it up nice.. . . looking on the tailgate i see this emblem that said.. . . VTEC tuning.. ????? OMG !!! what is this. . .
it is remotly possible that this is factory. . . .but out of the 100 or so mazda trucks that I have worked on. . .. None have had the VTEC tuning performed on them. . .. ..

I tried to get a pic of it with my camera phone. . . .but he was right there in the car wash bay. . . .and i did not want to look too obvious. . .

its a small town though. . . . ill see it around. . . . . a pic is worth a 1000 words... . .

That "VTEC tuning" sticker is sold at autozone and probly some other places.

Well I guess VTEC Tuning can really benefit any vehicle.... and we all know that it is alot easier to slap on a sticker than it is to actually tear into an engine. . . . If I was lazy I could have mad VTEC Tuning as well...

i think so.. . i think it is easier to instal than neon lighting. .
but slightl harder than the running board rear spoiler.
