Ok so like I said in the other post, I put it all back together, but the starter sounded slow, and of course, no start. We tried to roll start it and I realized that the clutch doesn't seem to be working. When I put it in gear, with the clutch held in, it doesn't move, and it's very hard to take out of gear. It's as if the clutch isn't working at all, though the pedal feels fine. I may have installed the tranny wrong, it went together a little hard, but I didn't think it was too unusual since I've never had my tranny apart. I guess I'm going to take it off again tomorrow, what should I look for? I really need to get the car back on the road. Oh, and to make things worse, I snapped 2 of the bolts holding the cold idle thing on the bottom of the throttle body. I took it off to fix my surging and high cold idle, but they were stuck in there. I put it back on with one, but it's dripping coolant when I turn the motor. If I just bypass this, will I need to hold the throttle while it's cold to keep it running? I imagine it's not absolutely necessary.

Simple and possible quick fix that you have probably already done but..... have you adjusted the clutch properly?

Yes. I actually adjusted it all the way up, so it probably shouldn't even be touching the PP properly. When I put the car in gear, with the clutch in, and try the starter, it moves, so something isn't disengaging. D16z6rex is hooking me up with a new clutch/flywheel combo, picking it up tomorrow. Looks like I'll be pulling the tranny again and just replacing the clutch.

All the way up would keep the clutch engaged... Hmmm.....

OK so with the clutch pedal pushed in, tranny in gear, and engine started what happens? Seems like you're describing a clucth that is not disengaging. You said you looked at the clutch components when you had the engine/tranny apart right? You didn't notice any springs in the PP that appeared to be dislodged in any way?

When it's in gear with the clutch pushed in and I turn the starter, it moves. It's definitely the clutch not disengaging. I'm getting my new clutch and flywheel tomorrow, so when I take it apart I'll install those. Nothing seemed out of place when I looked at it. The clutch was fine, I think the previous owner put less than 10k on it, so it has just less than 20k now, but I drive it pretty hard. The fingers on the PP were a little worn, and it's always been very stiff, but worked fine. Dohcya, I mean it's all the way so that the clutch should be disengaging.
