well it seems they won't be shipped until march or april, and it says if the group buy doesn't pull enough people, not at all... :?

No offense to anyone getting one, but if that's one of those big-ass Rat-Fink cartoony-huge shifters, there's no way that would ever go in my car. I don't care if it would make my shifts 100% seamless like an F1 transmission, still no way. There's not enough possible gain in performance to be had from a shifter that could ever make it worthwhile to me to run something that awkward-looking in anything short of a 100% purpose-built race-car, and even then, I'd still be ashamed of that thing.

Looks like the owner of the car is compensating.. that is not what I think - I think that is what everyone else would think in a street application. In a race car this makes sense.. I'd be embarrassed if it was in my street CRX.

I think everyone's jumping on the negative bandwagon too soon. Shifters like this are not meant to compensate for your tiny wang, it's for better shifting. It's true that they may get in the way of your dash controls, but don't we all make compromises when modifying our cars? We all want superb handling, and we're willing to accept a harsher ride in return. We want super-fast engines, and we're willing to accept more vibration and heavy clutches in return. If it's not for you, OK, but don't make outrageous claims like someone's going to think you have small parts. You'd have to be really self-conscious to think like that.

Well, I was always intrigued by these shifters and was planning on purchasing one to compensate for my shortfalls elsewhere but if others are gonna judge me because of the shifter I have in my CRX, I'm jumping off this band wagon before it even leaves the stable!

Geez...

Can we all go do a group "jump of a bridge" while we're at it?

It even says on the website that "this shifter was designed specifically to maintain the exact same ratio as the stock shifter. The shifter certainly does not look stock, but the shift feel and throw is 100% like the stock shifter." I don't see where it says it's specifically for race car applications anywhere...merely better shifting. And who doesn't want that?

I think when I get paid this week I'm prepaying for one of these shifters. And I won't give a crap if you see this in my street-driven daily driver and think I'm compensating. If you're thinking about how "big or small" I am, I'm not the one with the problems.

Ha, its too bad for you guys that dont like them, becuase I enjoy mine every chance I get. If you are interested, you owe it to yourself to at least try a car with one before you write it off.

If it offends your aesthetic sensibilities, well, ok whatvere. I have no problem getting to my radio and stuff with it, so I dont know about that.

Ive had more shifters then I can remember and this one for me performs the best.

Anyone want to buy an 'aesthetically pleasing' S2 dual bend shifter?

That is not what I meant. I meant that it would probably take a longer to ship if we did not get a lot of people. I will change the wording. We are getting them made, one way or another. How many pre-orders we get will determine the ship date.

That shifter gets in the way of just about everything.
Radio, CD changer, gauges...etc.
Do you have one? This is news to me. Actually many people are surprised to find that the shifter is so non-invasive. I have not hand anyone complain about blocking anything on the interior.

Like I said - it is a great idea for a race car.. I just think others would judge me if I had it in my car.. and it is a judgement I can do without.
I have to wonder...what would people actually say? Are we all so insecure that we are worried about what other people think? Pardon me, but that is so......Junior High.
