So i had to replace my fuel pump bracket and I had to order a whole assembly to get the part i needed. So I'm swapping over the hardware bc its for an 88 civic. Idk if its that or the shoddy craftsmanship from US Motors, but they sent me one with the wrong plug for where the fuel level sensor plugs into the car. Not the one on the tank, the one with the rubber boot on it.

This is the stock connector. I'll have to splice this into the new harness. My question is: what are these three wires? Power? Ground? Whats the third one?

Please help I can't find a wiring diagram anywhere.

Thanks! That helped alot! So you're right, the pump and sending unit do have separate grounds. They are just using a loose wire instead of integrate it into the plug on the 88.

So my pump is aftermarket and came with different color codes for the wires but i think i got it. Im leaving pictures to help anyone else working on an 88.
