Welp, i decided to paint my car over the last 2 days. I was questioning whether to go rattle can or roll on "Tremclad/Rustoleum". After reading up more on the "Tremclad/Rustoleum", it started to appeal more to me, and sounded way easier and cheaper, so i decided to go with it. I just cudn't stand the way the rex looked with faded paint and clear, and I just wanted sumthing decent. So, for just a tad bit under $50 for the paint and all the materials, and with just a lil bit of effort, i managed to pull these results:

I didn't even have access to a garage and did the whole thing outside! But an advantage to this was it ended up drying my coats quicker (Only did 4 coats). As u can see, i've got a lot of orange peel around the car, but i plan on sanding down and buffing later on. Im pretty happy with the results, and the paint seems lyke its very durable since i've tried reeeeally hard to scratch it with my fingernail. If anyone plans on rattle canning their car in the near future, try sumthin different and give Rustoleum a shot!

that is probably the most ghetto thing I have ever heard of... I saw a car for sale one time.. the ad said "new" paint job... the guy did it with a roller..:rolleyes1:

It doesnt look bad in the pics.. and I bet from far away its ok too.. but come on dude.. dont paint your car with house paint... or rattle cans..

nice job! glad to see it worked for you.

to everyone that thinks this is ghetto: yes it is! but it definitely beats driving around with a primer paint job. i did the same to my car and no one can even tell unless i told them i painted it that way.
