well I've read and re-read the suspension sticky as well as a bunch of threads on h-t about install / use of shocks and spring combos.
I've come to the conclusion that ground controls are where it's at for a sporty daily driver / mild use with the standard rates, and you can get the car lowered to your personal liking. seems with a spring set alone you just cross your fingers and see where it sits.
Shock wise, I think getting koni's is overkill for me, they are a bit pricey and I'm not ever going to race my car.
I've seen plenty of evidence that HPs are junk for higher than stock springs.
As far as AGX and Illumina shocks, it seems the price is the same and the same number of people have good/bad stories.
Questions are:
Ground control standard rates okay for daily driving, not too harsh?
Any reason to set my wallet on fire and go koni for shocks??
What the heck is a koni red shock, all I've heard is talk of the yellows?
As I nearly bought Illuminas already, any advise on whether they are better/worse than the kyb AGX's?
Thanks in advance to the suspension gods!
