My roommate came to NH to visit... brought the PS2 and Guitar Hero II... AMAZING!

We're working on Jessica.

Anyone else play this? If not... I suggest you do! My little sister, who's a flute player, is killing us at it!

I have some experience with music games, mostly DDR and Donkey Konga. I played Guitar Hero for just a minute in a nearby Gamestop, but I liked what I saw. Basically every rhythm-based game out there is incredibly fun and incredibly hard at higher levels. I especially like that music games essentially require their own input devices, which makes every one unique and challenging.

I definitely want to play more guitar hero. :p

i have played the origional guitar hero not 2 yet.. but i didnt find it that hard.. i have been playing ddr, drum mania, guitar madness and beat mania in the arcade for a while so the way i see it, its about time that they started to bring more of the music simulation games to the home consoles :)

I got it for Xmas, and like it. It's got a pretty steep difficulty curve, though. Easy is TOO easy, and Hard gets tough, quick. So far, I've gotten through the Medium level with 5 stars on all but a couple songs (like "Institutionalized" by Suicidal Tendencies and "Hangar 18" by Megadeth). I've only gotten through a couple songs on Hard, though.

I loved frequency and amplitude, made by harmonix, and have logged many hours on guitar hero. the sequel is so much better, more complex note patterns, hammer on / pull offs were improved so you can actually get them, and wicked solos in the harder songs. A couple friends have it, but I haven't the funds or time to drop on it right now.

If you like guitar or music games, buy it!

Ok so I just started on medium, easy is too easy. I played Mother on medium and it was cake, then I tried Surrender and it was a LOT harder! My fingers hurt...

As a side note, play for a while then look at the floor, it looks like everything is floating... weird...

We're thinking about getting another guitar so my roommate and I can play together... air guitar just doesn't cut it any more!
