dont know if i posted this in the right spot but im taking apart my headlights and i heard that i can stick them in the oven. does anybody know what temp and how long i stick them in for?

Lowest temp on your oven. This loosens up the glue that holds the lens to the plastic housing. First remember to remove the metal clips.

You will probably need to heat it, then work on it, heat it... repeat till the lens is off.

Lowest setting as said above. Preheat it, then throw in your headlight for about 2-3 minutes. Pul out, play around to see how loose the glue is, but it back in. Repeat the step until you can rip it off and just use a cleaner to remove the glue. Remember to seal it back up right.

do you guys recommend any type of glue?

I used clear RTV... it held up fine, but I also managed to reinstall the clips, which was a total PITA

the oven took too long so i used my heat gun took me 2 minutes. but i have another question. after i revmoved the glass lens i notices thes a little bit of rust spots in there. is there a way i can sand it out and spray it?
