Hi all. With a snowless winter upon us here in northeast PA, heat is a good thing in the car. Unfortunately, I have very little heat. It's enough to defrost the windows but not enough to heat the interior. Also, my temp guage barely moves. Sometimes it stays at the bottom and sometimes it barely makes it up 1/8 of the way up. These are things I've checked and/or done...

1. blower motor works in all settings and positions.
2. valve under the hood near the firewall and the valve under the dash behind the center console both work.
3. All hoses are hot.
4. Coolant levels checked, topped up and bled.

Any idea what could be wrong? Stuck thermostat? Bad heater core? Something else?

My first guess would be the thermostat. I remember when I put a 170degree thermostat in my eclipse, the car would never reach normal operating temp and the heater was always cold. I would check to see if it is stuck open.
