Ok, when I got my CRX, it was trashed inside and out by the previous owner. I put a pristine heater control unit in it, and it worked fine. But then the button indicator lights (orange ones) went out. And it quit doing anything. A couple weeks ago, the lights came back on out of the blue. I also noticed that when the lights were out of the heater control, my rear defroster wouldn't work either. Now it works also. The weather has cooled down over the past couple weeks. Is there a relay that controls these 2 items that could be acting up because of the heat?

loose connections? What's the rest of the electrical look like under the dash?

i bet its the fuse. the rear defroster fuse also controls the heater system. it took me a while to figure this one out. i'd check that its not loose or burnt out.

I tried replacing the rear defroster relay today. Didn't work. I'll check the fuse.
